Meet Dr. Jacobs, an exceptionally skilled general surgeon specializing in minimally invasive and endoscopic procedures. Currently having a highly recommended practice in Netcare Blouberg Hospital, with operating privileges in numerous hospitals. Graduating proudly with a medical degree in 2000 and a master's in medicine and surgery in 2009 from the University of the Free State, Dr. Jacobs is committed to staying at the forefront of medical advancements.
Driven by a passion for minimally invasive surgery and a thirst for knowledge, she has pursued qualifications worldwide, including France, Belgium, Italy, and India. Dr. Jacobs has completed courses in aesthetic medicine, carboxytherapy, diagnostic ultrasounds, minimum access surgery, and robotic surgery. Her expertise extends to intensive workshops in endoscopic and laparoscopic techniques, advanced hemorrhoidectomies, THDs, and fecal incontinence surgeries with diagnostic skills in anal Manometry and diagnostic ultrasounds. She has a keen interest in laparoscopic surgery, upper GIT pathology, endoscopic interventions, breast and endocrine surgeries- and ensures that she is on top of all newest, proven, safe modalities of treatment.
Further enhancing her credentials, Dr. Jacobs obtained her diploma and fellowship in minimal access surgery at the prestigious World Laparoscopic Hospital, including training on the da Vinci robotic surgery model in India before it was available in South Africa.
